About Me

New Orleans native and REAL Cajun living in Atlanta since 1986, divorced since 1996. I am looking for good conversation and company first and foremost; if anything else develops we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Definitely not interested in casual sex or married men. I can be serious when the occasion requires but I like to laugh and have fun as much as possible. I enjoy lively debates (but not in every discussion) and am looking for someone with an open mind who enjoys challenges. I'm comfortable in jeans or formal wear and have a selection of both. I enjoy hanging out around the house, doing my own home repairs and working in the garden as well as attending social galas and opening night productions at the Fox (Atlanta theater). My idea of fun is a big party with good friends but my idea of a perfect evening is sitting on the patio or in front of a fire with a good bottle of wine and someone interesting to talk with while listening to Jazz Classics (Atlanta public radio show) in the background. I love to travel and have a newly renewed passport that's way too empty. Musical tastes include classic rock, old jazz, folk & classical, not into country or rap. I am the only child of a marine and grew up in a very European port city. This means that I tend to be more assertive and aggressive than most women in the South and that seems to offend people with "delicate sensibilities" so if you're the delicate type we won't hit it off. Also, if you are conservative in your political and social views, a Limbaugh/Boortz fan or religious we might have interesting debates but we won't get along.

Interests

Theater, concerts, gardening, hiking, sailing, collecting & consuming good wine, cooking & eating good food, gave up scuba diving for snow skiing. Almost anything outdoors even raking leaves & pulling weeds. Love the mountains in fall.
